At our clinics, a doctor's referral is not necessary for assessment or treatment, as we are a primary care provider. However, if you're using extended health benefits, some insurance policies may require a referral to process your claim. Please check with your insurance provider to understand their specific requirements. For WSIB claims, referrals are not needed.
For your initial assessment, we recommend allotting one hour, depending on your injury. This ensures that our therapists can thoroughly evaluate your condition. Your well-being is our top priority. If you're experiencing significant pain on your first visit, we will also provide some immediate treatment and begin you on a personalized home exercise program.
Many extended health care (EHC) benefit carriers now offer clients the option to submit their own claims, though this process can sometimes be confusing. If your provider is set up to handle claims submissions, we can take care of this on your behalf. Simply pay for your session after each visit, and we will handle the rest. If you have any questions about using your benefits or need assistance to ensure timely reimbursement, our friendly staff is here to help.
